In the framework of the European project "music in hospitals: exchange and comparisons between artistic practices" supported by the Culture 2000 programme of the European Commission, Musique et Santé organised a European seminar in partnership with Arts for Health (United Kingdom) and Wateford Healing Arts Trust (Ireland) on July 3, 4, and 5, 2006 in the Maison de Radio France (see seminar programme).
The seminar gathered together about a hundred professionals from the cultural and health sectors. Delegates from several European countries were present: France, United Kingdom, Ireland, Italy, Poland, Estonia, Lithuania, Slovakia, and Bulgaria.
After an official opening from Mr. Beauvert, director of music at Radio France, and after a presentation by the 3 partners with projections of the film shot during the residencies, the following topics were broached:

• Music in health settings: cultural policy, entertainment, or music therapy?
